No, Steve Bannon - We are not going to keep our mouth's shut.

Go ahead. YOU tell this guy to keep his mouth shut.

If you are a film/cinema lover like myself, then the first ten days of the Trump administration should have a fella like you in a state of bliss. We are witnessing more surrealism than you'd find in a David Lynch film, more comedy than you'd see from a Woody Allen picture, more absurdity than you'll find any Fellini spectacle and unfortunately, way more horror than you'd ever witness in a Saw movie.

Sadly though, we are not watching a movie. This is real life and it is going on and right now, and it is damn frightening to watch and experience. As much as we all wish right now, Marvel's Agents of S.H.E.I.L.D  are not coming to rescue us.

What will save us? Journalists and reporters unafraid to challenge Trump's barbaric executive orders or the fact that he is a 70 year old man still incapable of ever pronounce the letter "h" (I never in my life can recall a commander-in-chief refer to their residence as the "White 'Ouse."). We are already seeing a number of these brave reporters stand up to Trump the warlock's policies, reporters such as Rolling Stone's Matt Taibbi, who was spent nearly a year and a half traveling across the country interacting with Trump supporters, a collection of which can now be found in Taibbi's new book Insane Clown President.

As much as the Trumpelina's would like it, reporters and journalists will not only continue to do their jobs, they are now attacking their profession with a purpose and vision that is needed more than ever. I work with such a group and when I see a a 65 year old, jowly, white man making decisions on the well being of women care and health, I look at the 19 year old young female reporter in my newsroom and I no longer feel worry. In fact, I feel hope. I feel reassured, I feel comfort, I feel - safe. There are people out there who would look at this 19 year old female journalist and feel nothing but contemptuous, dismissive, loathing and not worth a thought. I look at this 19 year old female journalist and I see our future. I see an individual who's on the cusp of greatness. I see someone who's going to make this profession noble and just might change it all - for the better.

Some of the best writing of the past year has been written by online journalists. In addition to Rolling Stone's Matt Taibbi there is Vince Mancini, film critic for Uproxx's Filmdrunk who has written some of the most pointed political commentary of the past two years - ("Do We Really Need A Leaked Tape To Identify A Scumbag?") and Indy500 ("Presenting Donald Trump's best worst tweets").

These online warriors are not about to spend the next four years hiding out at home wishing for the days when the biggest decision Trump had to make was whether to fire Poison's Brett Michael's or 2010's Playmate of the month Hope Dworaczyk on that week's episode Celebrity Apprentice. They are going to write, report, comment and question. Even though, Steve Bannon, the Emperor Palpatine to Trump's Darth Vader, would like nothing more than for the press to "keep it's mouth shut."

Well, I believe CNN's Jake Tapper has the issued best response to that,
